The Journey DVD - Presents The Journey John Andrew Bostrom - Founder of Ormond Beach

The Journey is a professionally-produced 21-minute video portraying the journey John Andrew Bostrom took as he came to America in 1860, survived several ship wrecks, endured the Civil War, and made his way to Halifax Country, now Ormond Beach in 1866. This well received film is dedicated to J. Don Bostrom, grandson of John Andrew Bostrom, past president of the Ormond Beach Historical Society, and local Historian Emeritus. This film was developed and produced by local authors, historians and film makers, Ron and Alice Howell.

Ormond Discovery DVD

Ormond Discovery is a professionally-produced 20-minute video feature summarizing the rich history of the Ormond Beach area. Two bonus features include footage of vintage cars reenacting beach races at Ormond Beach in the mid-20th century.

The DVD is historical sights of Ormond Beach taken one year ago.  It is music and wording explaining the sights you are seeing on the DVD.  John Angela proofed the accuracy of the wording of each sight to make sure it was correct.  A visitor to Ormond Beach made the DVD as she was so impressed with our area.  She visits each year but I have not seen her this year.  She donated the DVD to the OBHS.
