GivingTuesday is a global movement created in 2012 as a simple idea: it is a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has inspired millions year-round to celebrate generosity by giving their time, financial donations and their voices to their local communities.

This GivingTuesday, we ask you to help us protect Ormond Beach’s history, now and for future generations.

As a member, supporter, colleague or friend of OBHS, you are among our most valued ambassadors. We appreciate your help in spreading our mission of sharing Ormond’s rich history through education and preservation. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. As we celebrate our role in Florida’s past and present, we thank you for being a part of this extraordinary journey together.

Your Donation Empowers Our Mission

Below are some ways you can help!

Help to Fund Our Children's Educational Programs

In the past year, we’ve served more than 5,800 residents and visitors, including our veterans and children. Your support would help us to continue hosting free Volusia ECHO Rangers programs for kids focused on preserving our ecological, heritage and outdoor resources, as well as our “Dirt Detectives: Archaeology for Kids” and storytelling at the Three Chimneys Ruins (c.1768). We also give free live history tours for environmental campers at the Hotel Ormond Cupola (1887), and have a new Cobb Cottage (1896) kids’ maritime program about the Nathan Cobb Schooner shipwreck on Ormond’s shores.

Contribute to Landscaping and Renovations at the Anderson-Price Memorial Building

Working with the Florida Native Plant Society, we are raising funds to update the landscaping at our beloved home along the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail, the landmark Anderson-Price Memorial Building (1916). This year, we self-funded some much-needed repairs including exterior painting, several replacement windows and plantation shutters. Next, we plan to upgrade the electrical system and renovate the kitchen. These upgrades and repairs will not only preserve the historic Anderson-Price Memorial Building, but will allow the Ormond Beach Historical Society to offer higher quality rentals of the building, which is the one of the only consistent revenue generators for the OBHS.

General Support

With your generous support, the Ormond Beach Historical Society can continue to preserve, promote, and share the rich history of Ormond Beach. Your donation will help to support Ormond Beach Historical Society's community programming and projects focusing on the rich and diverse history and heritage of Ormond Beach.

Memberships and grants only cover a portion of the yearly budget of an organization like ours. Despite that, OBHS is dedicated to continuing to tell the amazing story of life in our beautiful city-by-the-sea.

OBHS is a qualified 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with a federal identification number of FEIN #51-0199398. Our Charitable Contributions number from the State of Florida is #CH14610. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
